AEP 3rd Party Compatibility Patches

Airport Enhancement Package v2.0 adds content to airports. This is fine for 3rd party airport because most have exclusion zones, these remove scenery elements of lower priority packages. However, in some cases, exclusion zones are not added by developers, resulting in duplicate elements from AEP (among other potential conflicts with other addons). It's an easy mistake to make - I made had that issue at KDEN at one point.

To combat this issue, I've created patches for airports that are known to be affected. Below is a list of patches, these provide the missing exclusion zones. If you have an airport that is affected by AEP, please, reach out via the contact form and I will create the patch! If you are a developer, please add exclusion zones - this not only helps me and my users, but also helps future proof your scenery for future changes to the underlying scenery!

Installation:

• Search for your airport's ICAO, click the link to download the patch
• Extract the zip file
• Copy AEP Overlays Patches into your Custom Scenery folder. If asked, overwrite on Windows, merge on Mac or Linux
• You only need to do this the first time:
  • Open your scenery_packs.ini
  • Find the entry for "AEP Overlays"
  • Directly above it, add the following line: SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/AEP Overlays Patches/
